Manufacturing Process

This product is manufactured using Clad & Weld process with metallurgical bonding. It is NOT electroplated.

Metallurgical bonding creates a permanent atomic-level connection, ensuring superior reliability compared to electroplating. This enables excellent weldability, resistance to peeling during bending, and stable performance under thermal cycling conditions.

Nickel Clad Copper Round Wire

RAYTRON Nickel Clad Copper Round Wire is manufactured using advanced Clad & Weld process with metallurgical bonding between nickel layer and copper core, operating temperature up to -200°C to 400°C. Uniform nickel layer thickness (5-15%), conductivity 85-95% IACS, combining high conductivity of copper with excellent corrosion resistance of nickel. Suitable for MWD downhole sensors, aerospace, and marine engineering in high-temperature and corrosive environments. Compliant with ASTM B565 and AMS 4533.
