What diameter range is available for CCA Round Wire?

Raytron produces CCA round wire in diameters from Φ 0.1mm to 4.0mm with tolerance of ±0.005mm. The most common sizes for communication cables are 0.5mm, 0.8mm, and 1.0mm. Custom diameters are available with 7-day lead time and 100kg MOQ.

Can CCA Round Wire be used for coaxial cable inner conductors?

Yes. Due to the skin effect at high frequencies, current flows primarily on the conductor surface. CCA's copper cladding is on the exterior, providing excellent high-frequency performance comparable to solid copper. CCA is widely used in RG-6, RG-59, and CATV drop cables with 5-10% higher attenuation than copper, which is acceptable for most applications.

Raytron offers bare, tin-plated, silver-plated, and enamel-coated options. Tin plating (5-15μm) is recommended for solderability and corrosion protection in outdoor applications. Silver plating provides the best high-frequency performance. Enamel coating (polyurethane or polyester) is available for magnet wire applications.
